Verimonde's Last Resort has extra crit? EDIT: nope, talent affect instead

I have something strange going on that I hope one of you can explain to me. I recently noticed that the crit rating in my armory was significantly different than what I saw in my character window in game. After messing around, I found that [Verimonde's Last Resort], when you took away the extra crit from the +8 INT., added exactly 3% to my crit rating. How is this possible? That's huge.

Clearly, the weapon description lists no crit rating. But I stood there for a full minute, wax on, wax off. Crit on, crit off. There it was.

I haven't tested with my spellcasting to see if there really is a difference in crit rate, but has anyone run into a glitch like this, where the game tells you that you have a stat which you don't really have?

Should I ask a GM about this to confirm this?

EDIT: Nevermind, found the cause. Apparently, the talent [Thundering Strikes] requires that you have a weapon in your main hand. good to know.

I actually ran into a similar situation. On my DK, I ran Kara once and won an epic ring off prince. I replaced a quest ring with it. The epic ring had MORE haste, but somehow, had a smaller effect. I was attacking a little faster with the quest ring, even though the epic had more haste!
