O_o
As I type these words.. I am shaking a little bit. I kid you not. I ground up my fishing, got the enchants for my gloves, made like 30 attractors, etc. I got my guy to lvl 19, stayed up to 4 AM, blah blah.
Three nights ago, I found a Meadow Ring of Eluding in the Auction House, bid only. Won it for 86s.
Last night, I found a SECOND Meadow Ring of Eluding (?!) in the Auction House, 11g.
20 minutes ago, I started the Fishing Competition on Yojamba Island. I immeditely fished out one pool, got a firefin snapper and 2 tasty fish.. I ran around the island, no more pools. Kept running, then alt tabbed to the forums for a bit. I come back, make a 2nd loop, and see another pool. First cast, tasty fish. Second cast, LUCKY FISHING HAAAAAAT! I'm the luckiest SOB alive. =(
I'm tempted to keep going for the boots, but I don't think I'll put myself through that just yet.

If I remembery correctly, that was about 1 or 2 bars on my lvl 10, so you should be fine at 19.

Yojamba Isle is the place where there's no mobs to go after you am I right?

Yes, there are only neutral trolls.. no aggressive mobs or anything to kill you.. there are only a few pools in the area, and I've gone as long as 30 minutes without finding a pool there, but imo, that beats the multiple runs back to my corpse whenever i get careless.

After 17 weeks of fishing tournament bliss I caught my first rare fish. The striped racer was not what I was looking for but at this point I'll take what I can get. However, after 30 minutes I noticed that I had 35 fish and nobody had won the tournament yet, I caught 5 more and hearthed to BB and got myself a useless trinket that turns me into a fish whilst in water.
Week #18 is around the corner and I'm hoping my luck hasn't worn off yet...

Also, if you have a lvl 35+ to clear a few mobs along the coast line, you can walk up and down the shor directly opposite the island...I caught about 80 fish yesterday while only being interrupted by a single horde..../wave Nub. There is also that island with all the water elementals...slightly bigger and you can succesfully fish from one pool without any aggro.
Of course, the island does have a few pools that are cut in half, because of water depth restrictions...

Impressive, a lvl 19 winning the turny. That trinket can be helpful for swimming in water, it increases your swim speed. You could have also got the +35 pole, but that requires 300 fishing I think =/

I say useless because there's no water in WSG~
But yeah, it's nice for going from BB to Yojamba island via the ocean.
